Brian Bollen is a freelance writer, editor and media consultant. Based in the UK, he specialises in international corporate finance in its widest range, from mergers and acquisitions to global custody and cash management.
He has more than 22 years' experience in the world of international banking and financial journalism. A former full-time staff journalist with the Financial Times Group, since becoming freelance in late 1992 he has written for many leading titles including the Financial Times and related titles such as The Banker magazine.
Brian also contributes regularly to Financial News, the London-based weekly newspaper for the international securities and investment banking markets. The list of corporate clients over the same period features many top names in banking and elsewhere, as the range of subjects he covers continues to expand on a daily basis.
Brian is also building his capabilities as a public speaker, through his active membership of the Toastmasters International public speaking skills development group.
In his spare time, Brian has written the most comprehensive history to date of his home town football club, Airdrieonians FC, liquidated by KPMG on May 1 2002 (RIP) and since revived as Airdrie United FC.
